Ashley Matte

Bio

When she was twelve, Ashley Matte locked herself in her upstairs bedroom and taught herself to play the guitar. She came out after only two short weeks and entered a local talent concert, The Jimmy Dean Showdown. Surprising her family and friends, Ashley won first place and from then on started to pursue a career in music.  While her smooth sounds are deeply influenced by her favorites, Sarah McLachlan Bonnie Raitt, and Fleetwood Mac, Ashley has developed her own uniqueness for performing and an amazing talent for songwriting. Ashley’s amazing ability to perfect a self-taught guitar is quite impressive and her angelic vocals are as pure. Ashley’s style of music comes with edge; she makes it her own unique blend of acoustic that casts a spell on anyone crossing her path.

Since finishing her album "Colors" which has been sold in popular stores, including Borders, and I Tunes, Ashley has shared the stage with national acts such as Gavin Degraw, Chris Isaak, Dishwalla, Linda Perry and many more well-known names. She has landed endorsements with some of the industry’s big names such as Taylor Guitars, QSC, and Peavy. She has also shared her music with local charities to help fund many community programs needed throughout southern California.  Ashley is currently in the studio finishing up her long-awaited second album to be released in 2008.
